New Opportunities: 

  •  (Stuttgart, Germany) is a public-law foundation that offers an interdisciplinary and international fellowship program for artists and scientists. This year the program will grant 70 residency fellowships running from three to twelve months. International artists, writers, musicians, performers, and new media artists are encouraged to apply.   • The Millay Colony for the Arts (Austerlitz, New York) has added a second annual application deadline. Visual artists, composers and writers may now apply in October for one-month or two-week residencies taking place April through November.   • MMCA Residency Changdong + Goyang (Seoul, Korea) is now accepting applications for the 2015 International Artist Residency Program. Artists of any discipline, from countries outside of Korea, can apply for three to six-month residencies offered through the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea.   • Surel's Place (Boise, Idaho) is a one to three-month residency program nestled just steps from the Boise River. Artists are given private use of a modern, bright live-work space at the center of the thriving Surel Mitchell Live-Work-Create District.   • Santa Fe Art Institute (Santa Fe, New Mexico) is offering SFAI alumni the opportunity to return to the Institute for a month long residency this winter. Four sessions will run this December. Deadline: Sept 15 [Read more.]
  • Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) (Amherst, Virginia) welcomes over 400 artists each year to their campus on 400 acres of rolling Blue Ridge farmland.
