Why The Cloud?

There are many reasons to consider using GYSTPro.cloud. Here are a few reasons why, and also why we decided to make a change.

Security settings on computers have gotten really tight, and have made to very difficult for third party developers to create computer based software and it is very costly. So costly in fact that it would have made our original computer based software way too expensive for most artists. It was costing us way too much to continue developing new versions for those platforms.

We are however, working to keep those current computer based versions working as long as we can.

Many of you are unsure of the cloud, so here are some things we can clear up for you.

SAFE: Cloud based programs are actually safer than on your computer. They are backed up multiple times and we have built in a way for you to also download your information to your own computer. If your computer goes belly up for any reason, you will not lose your data. You can also access your data from any computer. (Many of your have lost your archives due to a computer melt down and without proper backups on a separate drive or cloud.)

NO UPGRADES: Also, you will never have to update your software ever again, since it is done in the background and can be done more often. This means that bugs and such can be fixed much faster.

CHEAPER: In the long run, it is actually cheaper to pay a subscription rather than pay for updating your software each time there is a new upgrade, or your software becomes too old for your computer’s operating system (for those of you who never upgrade on time). The cloud alleviates those hassles of the dreaded upgrade.

CHOICES: We have created three choices for subscriptions all based on the amount of usage. Those of you getting started can do so at a cheaper rate and upgrade to a higher usage level when you are ready.

TRIAL: You can still access a trial version for 30 days for free to see if it is the right fit for you.

HACK FACTOR: Everything can be hacked. We have however chosen to host with a very secure site which has multiple backup solutions as well as safety and privacy protocols. The GYST Team will never reveal anything about you or your archives, ever, even under torture. Your own computer is probably less safe than our hosting team.

PEACE: Knowing your data is stored safely, as well as being stored on your own computer, as well as less technical hassles with upgrading, means that you can not worry about your data being lost.
